Amandine is a Franco-Canadian writer who grew up near Lyon, France and moved to England in her early twenties. She now works and plays in the beautifully moody Pacific Northwest of Canada, which inspired the mystical setting of Penumbra in her novel Song for Selene.
Amandine's stories blend contemporary fiction with speculative and romantic elements and are often steeped in music or the arts. When she is not writing or reading (or reading about writing) or attending writing workshops, Amandine loves listening to bands at local venues big and small, sipping cocktails with friends, or hiking with her husband and their schnauzer Marlowe, named after Raymond Chandler's laconic detective.
